Creamy Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter
12 oz white mushrooms, sliced
Salt and pepper
1/4 cup chopped shallots
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

CREAMY MUSHROOM SAUCE

  1. In a Revere® saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Cook mushrooms in butter for 4 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly browned. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add shallots; cook for 1 minute.
  2. Stir in broth and thyme. Simmer for 4 to 5 minutes or until sauce has reduced by one-third.
  3. Stir in cream; simmer 3 to 4 minutes longer or until sauce is slightly thickened (do not boil). Season with salt pepper to taste before serving.
