Boo-tiful Buttercream Frosting

1 cup salted butter, softened
6 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 tablespoon clear vanilla
4 to 5 tablespoons milk



  1. In large bowl, beat butter with electric mixer until creamy. Gradually beat in sugar, 1 cup at a time, until combined. Beat in vanilla and enough milk until frosting is soft and fluffy. Beat on high speed 2 to 3 minutes longer for extra creamy frosting. Tint as desired. Spread or pipe onto cooled cupcakes.

CHEF’S NOTE: If you’ll be piping icing onto cupcakes, we recommend doubling or even tripling the batch to have enough to frost 24 cupcakes.
