    EXPERT TIPS

    • Whiskey isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Make sure you have plenty of options for drinkers and teetotalers alike. For example, lemonade is a great on its own, or with a splash of vodka.

    • Your guests are all country music fans, so crank the tunes! Play some of this year’s best songs during dinner to get everyone psyched for the show.

Blame it all on your roots, and show up in boots! The Academy of Country Music Awards have finally arrived. It’s the night you’ve been waiting for, and what better way to celebrate than by hosting a viewing party?

We’ve got everything you need to host a classic country shindig. So, dust off your cowboy boots and cheer on your favorite country music stars with these country favorites.

LIFE AIN’T ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL…BUT YOUR TABLE CAN BE

Spruce up your homestead by adding some simple country themed decorations. Since we’re going rustic, there’s no need for fancy table settings. Painted cans are a great way to set out your silverware. You can even add red-and-white checkered fabric or paper to the outside of the can if you want to add a little extra country feel! Too simple? A cowboy boot filled with wildflowers makes a great centerpiece, and while it’s easy to whip together, it really adds to your table. Wheel barrels, whiskey barrels, washtubs and old milk cans are also great ways to add a little extra country ambience.

COUNTRY MUSIC MENU

You can’t throw a CMA viewing party without serving up some authentic country dishes, and nothing is more authentically country than fried chicken. Our Peppery Buttermilk Oven-Fried Chicken is so deliciously juicy and delightfully crispy, it will have your guests singing your praises. Serve it hot from the oven in a PYREX® EASY GRAB® 3-QT BAKING DISH

Whip up some mashed potatoes and green beans for quick and easy sides, but don’t forget, you can’t do country without cornbread. Treat your guests to our Sun-Dried Tomato Bacon Cornbread.

A heart don’t forget dessert like this! Our Coconut Meringue-Topped Sweet Potato Pie is so good, you won’t know if it’s the pie or the good-lookin’ country stars that have everyone’s mouths watering. Bake it in a Pyrex® Easy Grab® 9.5″ Pie Plate.

Have little cowboys and cowgirls coming to the party? Put together some of these adorable cowboy hat cupcakes from Ricardo Cuisine. The kids will love ’em.

DRINKIN’ SWEET TEA FROM MASON JARS

Serve your guests their sweet tea in mason jars. You can gussy them up with name tags or a bow. Not only does the super-cute idea fit with the theme, but your guests can take them home at the end of the night filled with party favors.

HINT: Don’t forget to provide straws! Mason jars can be a little tricky to drink from.

WE’LL BE YOUR SHOT OF WHISKEY

Looking to make this shindig one to remember? Cowboy (or girl) up and serve your guests some whiskey. You can stick with the classics, like Whiskey Sours or Old-Fashioneds or, you can kick it up a notch with these delish recipes from This Girl Walks into a Bar.

Look for us at the awards and raise your Pyrex glass in a toast to your frisky friends and favorite songs. This year’s ACM Awards party could go down in history as one of your best.

YOUR TURN: Who are you rooting for this year and how are you showing your support?
