White chocolate-dipped Oreos are an easy Halloween-themed treat. With a bit of clever drizzling and two candy eyes, this simple idea turns store-bought cookies into a homemade party pop. No baking required (every part can be prepped in the microwave)..

If you’ve never used candy melts before, you can most commonly find them in the cake decorating section of most craft stores and they’re also available online. Since this recipe may require a special trip to gather the ingredients, give yourself plenty of time.

For last-minute prep: The baking section of most grocery stores has white candy bark (also labeled “almond bark”), which can be melted in the microwave and swapped in for the candy melts. Alternately, white vanilla baking chips may be used; however, add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to every cup of chips to ensure even melting. And if you’d rather use grocery store items for the lollipop sticks and candy eyes, Popsicle sticks and brown candy-coated chocolate candies work nicely. Or you can pipe the eyes with a tube of black gel icing.

Recipe below, step-by-step instructions included. Plus, a few easy tips on how to temper chocolate in the microwave and you’ll be a chocolatier in no time.
