1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
6 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 package (16- or 16.5-oz size) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
Vanilla ice cream, if desired
ONE-DISH BROOKIE PIE
- Heat oven to 325°F. Place chocolate chips and butter in a PYREX® EASY GRAB Atlantic Blue 9.5″ PIE PLATE. Microwave 1 minute on High; stir. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring well after each, until melted.
- Stir in sugar, vanilla and salt. Add eggs; stir with a fork until eggs are completely mixed into chocolate mixture. Add flour; stir until well blended.
- Evenly space balls of cookie dough on top of brownie mixture. (If the dough is not pre-portioned, cut into 1/2-inch slices.)
- Bake 45 to 50 minutes or just until outer edges are golden brown and set (center will still be slightly gooey). Spoon into bowls while still warm, or cool completely and slice. Serve with ice cream.
