Winter is in full swing, with arctic temperatures and record snowfalls in part of the country, and nothing warms the body and comforts the soul like a hot bowl of soup. This January, the Snapware® brand has teamed up with Chef Emeril Lagasse to celebrate National Soup Month and help Americans warm up by offering a respite from the frigid temperatures with hearty soup recipes and the chance to win a trip for four to Orlando, Fla. with the Snapware® Winter Warm-Up Sweepstakes on Facebook.

Soup for the Soul

To inspire at-home cooks and families looking for hearty and delicious soups this winter, Chef Lagasse will be sharing some of his favorite soup recipes on, along with tips and tricks for perfecting soup. Prep, storage and transportation is a “snap” with the Snapware® Total Solution® collection, which combines an air-tight and leak-proof, four-latch plastic lid with either a plastic or Pyrex® oven-safe glass vessel. Soups, sauces and more can be transported on-the-go without worries of leaks.

“Soup is a winter staple and one of my favorite comfort foods, as well as one of my first cooking memories with my mother,” said Lagasse. “I like to store leftovers in my Snapware containers because I don’t have to worry about spills or leaks with the four-latch, leak-proof lids.”
